The Twelve Powers: ‘Life’ Sunday Sermon
“Life,” one of the Twelve Powers is, according to Charles Fillmore our founder, “our ability to energize, vitalize, enliven, and make whole.” God gave us this power; what we do with it is our choice. We can under-use it; procrastinate, become a couch potato or over-use it with hasty decisions and busyness.
It is always our choice how we design our lives. We have all the resources, unlimited energy called “Life” along with Faith and Strength. Shall we put them all together and amaze ourselves with the miracles we can create, the lives we can help, the prayers we can send out.
This is indeed a time in our state that we can send those prayers to the Kerrville area and all those that have been affected by the flood. I heard a story from a friend today about her family’s narrow escape on July 4th as she and her husband saved their elderly parents that horrific night. It makes you stop and think….how am I using my life energy? Is the world better because I’m here or am I leaking energy? Hearing this story led me to re-evaluate my life and its purpose.
